Support our local shops
This message comes from Sue Cartwright.
We have heard that Yasar’s shop is struggling to survive. It has been a delightful asset to our local shopping area for the past 18 years. Owned by Yasar and Anna (Hanife), both of whom work in the shop full time, it is a treasure trove of Mediterranean food as well as excellent quality fruit and veg.
There is a range of organic food, with everything you could think of. Much of the beautifully displayed fruit and veg is also organic and although it may not be as cheap as in some of the rather transient local convenience shops, its quality is well worthwhile. Nowhere else locally can you find such lovely fresh spinach and herbs.
Best of all, it is open from early in the morning until late at night.
So often in a recession, well loved local shops disappear. Yasar has served the Cally well, let’s makes sure we make good use of the shop. It would be a shame to lose such a treasure.
